Jeux de la rue 2023 tournaments, a success!

The Jeux de la rue 2023 tournaments, a AJOI's special project, were a real success! The tournaments are events where team spirit is put forward. The goal of the activities is to offer young people from the area the chance to have fun while developing through sport. This year, some 400 young people aged 12 to 25, from the West Island and surrounding areas, took part in the outdoor soccer and basketball tournaments. Seeing so many young people get involved in their community, fraternize and forge links with each other is, for AJOI and the entire animation team, the greatest victory. The festive, friendly and respectful atmosphere that prevailed over the two weekends allowed everyone to have fun and take full advantage of the activities offered. Participants received prizes such as soccer balls and basketballs as well as gift cards from generous local merchants. The Jeux de la rue are already looking forward to the next edition, next year!
