West Island Jeux de la Rue
Since 2011, the West Island Jeux de la rue—an initiative led by RAP Jeunesse—have brought youth together every summer for two major sports tournaments: basketball and soccer.
Completely free and open to all young people aged 12 to 25, these energetic and inclusive events take place in various parks across the West Island of Montréal, regardless of participants’ skill or experience.

A Celebration of Sport and Community
More than simple competitions, the Jeux de la rue give youth the chance to push their limits, build team spirit and connect with others in a festive and inclusive atmosphere.
Each edition highlights essential values such as community engagement, sportsmanship, respect and the importance of staying active and healthy.
These tournaments transform local parks into lively gathering spaces where youth can enjoy positive, memorable and empowering experiences.
Over the years, the West Island Jeux de la rue have become a summer staple—bringing hundreds of youth together through sport, camaraderie and celebration.
