For the first time in its history, AJOI will take part in the Lac St-Louis Regional Futsal League, with its AJOI Sport team officially selected for the 2025–2026 season. This milestone represents an important moment for the organization—and even more so for the young people who will experience this athletic journey firsthand.

A Team Rooted in the Community

The AJOI Sport team is made up of 20 players and 2 coaches, all closely connected to AJOI’s mission. Almost all the players are youth from the West Island of Montreal, truly reflecting the community AJOI supports and uplifts every day.

The team includes young people who currently participate in AJOI Sport's animation program, as well as others who, after being supported by the organization in the past, are now part of the staff themselves.

Beyond its composition, the team embodies AJOI’s vision: to provide young people with an inclusive, stable and meaningful environment where they can grow—not only as athletes, but as individuals. Here, sport becomes a powerful intervention tool that strengthens perseverance, self-esteem, discipline and community belonging.

This project also highlights the strength of community support and the ongoing work AJOI carries out to create spaces where youth feel capable, supported and valued. Each player proudly represents not only the team’s colours, but also the spirit of solidarity that defines the organization.

A Highly Anticipated First Match

The first match of the season will take place on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 2:35 p.m., at Collège Notre-Dame (3800 Jean-Brillant Street, Montreal). Full season schedule: Click here

AJOI warmly invites the community to come cheer on the team. Public support plays an essential role in the players’ journey, helping boost their motivation and reinforcing their sense of belonging.

A Milestone Moment for Youth

For team members, joining this regional league represents far more than a sporting opportunity. It is a recognition of their effort, commitment and growth. For many, this selection confirms that they have what it takes to reach their goals—both on and off the field.

This experience also opens the door to new learning moments: working effectively as a team, managing pressure, celebrating victories and learning from challenges. These lessons extend well beyond the boundaries of the court and contribute directly to their personal development.

A Program Supported by a Dedicated Team

The success of this initiative is largely due to the daily commitment of the AJOI Sport team. Their role goes far beyond organizing practices—they provide consistent, authentic and compassionate support adapted to the realities young people face.

Through an approach rooted in determination, kindness and inclusion, they foster an environment where each participant can express themselves freely, learn at their own pace and feel supported. Futsal becomes a vehicle for developing essential life skills: emotional regulation, leadership, communication, respect and collaboration.

These values—central to AJOI’s mission—are reflected throughout the AJOI Sport team and are what transform this sports project into a meaningful source of positive change.

A Partnership That Truly Makes a Difference: Thank You, Promolink

AJOI is proud to acknowledge the invaluable support of Promolink, official sponsor of the AJOI Sport team for the 2025–2026 season. Their contribution goes far beyond material support: it directly helps provide young people with concrete opportunities to grow, develop new skills and envision a bright future.

By believing in the potential of West Island youth and committing to their journey, Promolink plays a key role in the project’s success and in the social and athletic vibrancy of the community. AJOI sincerely thanks them for their trust and support.

As this first league season begins, AJOI looks forward to following the progress of its young athletes. A promising sporting, human and community adventure lies ahead. Go AJOI Sport!
