Sports and Cultural Activities
L'Aut' Gang Sport project aims to offer free extracurricular events in the West Islands, throughout the year. This chapter wants to reach out to the marginalized youth who don't seem to fit within the traditional frameworks of sporting and cultural activities available to them.
The main objective is to promote a wide variety of services and activities offered on the territory. Our recreational program mobilizes the youth into being active and to have a positive association towards public installations.

During the school period
In partnership with local schools, AJOI holds open gymnasium activities during the school year.
During the summer period
Through the Canada Summer Jobs program, AJOI is hiring park animators who are present throughout the summer to provide youth with sport activities and ensure a meaningful presence in the West Island parks.
AJOI is also in charge of Les Jeux de la rue de l'OI, which consists of two annual sports tournaments (basketball and soccer). The winners of these competitions represent West Island at the regional tournament of Les Jeux de la rue.
